My name is Michael, the hunter, rider and knife maker. I live in the north of Sweden, in Moosecountry. The land of the midnight sun. The same latitude as Reykjavik (Iceland), Godthob (Greenland), Southamton Island (Canada), Yellowknife (Canada), Fairbanks (Alaska), Anadyr (Siberia), Berjozovo (Siberia), Archangelsk (Russia), Oulu (Finland).

I live approx 300 km from the Swedish mountains, where bird hunting with English setters and Pointers is a great hobby of mine. So for me knifes is and have always been an important tool of my life.

I make typical Scandinavian knifes and also a wide range of different types of styles, both for use and show. I use different materials in the handle. Such as bone, wood, horn. I use most of the time Damascus steel in the blade, in different kind of patterns.

I come from a family were craftsmanship goes far way back. So for me, knife making, from forging the blade to the handle, and then to the sheath, is very inspiring. So listen brothers and sisters out there. Keep up the good work, let the steel glow, and keep your hands busy, in a world made out of plastic and ruled buy computers, we are indeed needed!!!!
